Does Snooky deserve to be a Halloween costume?

Most of us at Bewitched love dear Snookie from the Jersey Shore reality show…even though, as a hair salon, we don’t particularly endorse the poof. But Snookie herself isn’t wearing it as much, and we are noticing that eighties big hair IS coming back.

Our beef, and not the kind plastered all over Lady Gaga, is whether a group of kids, however nice they are, deserve the fame and notoriety they are receiving. They’re not role models. They aren’t particularly well read. They don’t endorse causes like “It will get better”, when it comes to gay teenagers being harassed. The boys cook, which is nice, but they smush alot, and not with much of a selection process. Of course, the girls they bed down with are equally agreeable, so why quibble?

But as ordinary young people, do they deserve their fame? Should they be walking the Red Carpet without acting skills, comedy gifts, writing talent under their belt? Are we applauding the bedding down, the fist fights, the bitch slapping, the drunken antics and petty jealousies of real life? We are fascinated by it, that’s for sure.

Here at Bewitched, our clients applaud the gorgeous hair they are getting from our revolutionary new system, the Geo Palette. We know talent when we see it, in the hands of our gifted stylists.

Look for it at www.geopalette.com or come and see us at Bewitched Salon in Woodmere, NY. 516 374-1490. Call us. They might not make you a Halloween costume, but your hair will be fabulous!

“Your smile is fake,” a client told me.

I work at a busy salon that features the revolutionary new color/cut process called the Geo Palette. But I digress.
I was particularly harried, and I cast a smile at a client who comes in regularly. “That’s a fake smile,” she told me.
I was horrified, because she was right!
That evening, I looked in the mirror and practiced. The best smile had warmth in the eyes. But it takes work! Tyra Banks talks about it with her models, and some effort is involved.
I discovered another way. If you lightly press your tongue on the gum under your top teeth, your eyes light up!
Apparently, it has to do with a chakra…
Try it. It works.
And I’ve found from experience that smiling, fake or real, makes me feel better too. Endorphins unite!
For an abundance of smiles about your glorious hair color, get a Geo Palette at Bewitched Salon. www.geopalette.com Beautiful hair, involuntary smiling. Call us at 516 374-1490
